About Il Bussetto
Established in 2004 in Milan, the Il Bussetto brand is well-known for designing and producing elegant and functional small leather goods. Il Bussetto products are made with bovine leathers from the best farms in Europe. Originally colorless, the leather is first shaped and then individually hand-coloured using natural tannins derived from trees like chestnut or quebracho. The coloring is absorbed by the hide in varying shades, thus giving all Il Bussetto products a distinctive uniqueness.
The Maestro Range
Seamless items handcrafted in the traditional way using wooden forms : Il Bussetto has revisited and updated this technique, originally used by Tuscan craftsmen. The wet leather is modeled over the wooden forms to produce articles completely devoid of any kind of seams. The leather is then left to dry for several days. Once dried, the products are hand-painted and polished by craftsmen with a heated iron called the "bussetto", from which the brand takes its name. The leather is finally waxed and buffed to a glowing luster.
Additional info
Product care : to preserve the luster of Il Bussetto products, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Periodically, we highly recommend the use of the cream specially developed by Il Bussetto for their products.

Il Bussetto
Créée en 2004, la maison milanaise Il Bussetto doit sa célébrité au fameux « Tacco » (pl. tacchi), ce petit porte-monnaie italien dont le nom - qui signifie « talon » - évoque un processus de fabrication propre à l’Italie du début XXe siècle : les bottiers utilisaient alors la forme du talon de leurs chaussures pour modeler le cuir et obtenir la forme d’une coque.
Depuis l’année de sa création, Il Bussetto n’a cessé de développer de nombreux modèles de petite maroquinerie et accessoires adaptés aux besoins actuels.
Les produits Il Bussetto sont fabriqués à la main selon une technique italienne ancienne qui ne nécessite aucune couture. Ils sont garantis par le label « VERA PELLE CONCIATA AL VEGETALE » décerné par le syndicat artisanal homonyme. Les cuirs, pigments, colles et cires utilisés sont entièrement naturels. Les tanins employés pour protéger le cuir et le rendre imputrescible sont issus de diverses essences d’arbres telles que le châtaignier ou le quebracho d’Amérique latine.
Entretien
Afin de masquer les éventuelles rayures et lustrer le cuir, appliquer sur toute la surface peinte une couche de crème incolore hydratante Il Bussetto et frotter énergiquement avec un chiffon doux.
